We’ve reached double digits baby!
I was recently a runner up for the ‘emerging entrepreneurial talent’ award at the 2012 Sheffield Business Awards. So I was invited to come to the Sheffield Business Awards event. This once again meant I had to wear a suit. Little did I know that “black tie” didn’t just mean I had to wear a black tie, so I turned up horribly under dressed. A room full of 1000 people in tuxedo and dresses talking about what their huge business’ did is like my worst nightmare, and i turned from my usual laid back attitude into a shy and quiet husk until I reached the table. The strange thing was, in the invitation I was told that I was a runner up, but no one seemed to know, that I knew. So lots of people asked me if I thought I was going to win, and obviously I said no.
In fact I knew that the wonderful Joseph Panasiuk had won the award, and quite rightly too, he deserves it far more than I do. Check out his handsome smiling face below.
Throughout the meal Joe and I talked about various things but mainly about how bad the wine tasted, I”m not a big fan of wine. So throught the night Joe and I would re-fill each others glasses to make the other person have to taste it again.

After the awards myself Joe and Phil went out for a quick drink and a chat overall it was a strange mixture of a night, going from designing to a black tie award ceremony and meal to a bar and to bed.
Congratulations Joe, you really do deserve it, and I don’t care if you’re fed up with me saying it to you.
